Back Story To This Poem
Poem was written on 19th November 2019. At the time…
Nikki Samonas was booked to host the 3G Awards in London, and was schedule to leave Ghana the next day.
Nikki was preparing to go to the MTN 4Syte TV Music Video Awards.
Shatta Wale (Ghanaian Musician) and DKB-The Head (Ghanaian Comedian) were having a social media brawl over who had Nikki’s heart.
Nikki Samonas was interviewed on “ATUU”, a TV show hosted by Abeiku Santana (Ghanaian Journalist). The location for that episode of the show was Sonant Hotel (now Sonia Hotel), a Hotel in East Legon, Accra, Ghana. During the interview, Nikki and Abeiku engaged in a very romantic bedroom play that I didn’t Like.😁Now that you know the whole Story, Let’s read the Poem.😊
Dear Nikki, I’m sorry I didn’t write to you earlier, but I guess it’s better now and weightier, now that you’ve got two grown-ass men battling over you like kids over candy.
First off, I MISS YOU!!! I miss you so much I can barely say your name. I know that’s weird, but trust me, it’s nothing compared to how weird it is that you had something to do with Shatta or “The Head”. Anyways, I’m glad that shit is over now.
Nikki, There are a few things I have to tell you, and none of it has anything to do with 3G Awards or London, but it sure as hell will get you in *Flight Mode*. So please, before you proceed, recede and take a very firm grip of the ground underneath.
I don’t intend to scare you, but I’ve been crushing on you since we met at the *Golden Movie Awards Africa* event in 2016. And frankly, the feeling just got stronger as the years went by… It’s 2019 and I’m still crushing.
It took the chaos of two madmen to finally get me to muster up the courage to do this, so before you write me off as just another dude, take the time to feast on these words, cos they are from my very core.
I find you unusually attractive and interestingly crazy. Sometimes, I wonder if I can ever stay in a room alone with you without calling 911, but that’s just who you are, and I love your crazy kind.
You’ve got a great sense of humour, so great that it gets me laughing even when that shit ain’t funny, like your bedroom stunt with Abeiku at Sonant. Seriously, that shit wasn’t funny at all.
Anyway, I know it’s getting late and you got to prepare for the *MTN 4Syte TV Music Video Awards*, so I’m going to cut to the chase and tell you my piece…
I am madly in love with you and would want to crown you Queen of *The Holloway Empire*, but I guess we have to start from somewhere…😊 So I’m offering you an opportunity to to get to know my awesome self before you say “I DO” to my ring in 2020. All you have to do is answer “YES” to the following:
